Matthew Knowles has never been one to play by the book.
In an unusual move, Beyonce's manager/father has just released a statement addressing all the criticisms his daughter's been receiving lately, mainly stemming from the poorly-received first two singles (and accompanying videos) off the singer's new album, B'Day.

It is apparent that there is a consistent plan by some to create chaos around Beyonce's B-Day album release on Sept 5 in the US. First, it was a petition against the single, "Deja vu", then a rumor regarding conflict between Beyonce and Rihanna, seizures caused by the "Ring the Alarm" video, putting out a single to compete with LeToya's album and now to add to all the ridiculous rumors, is my plan to postpone the release of her B-Day album. What will be next? Beyonce's cut off all her hair? Dyed it green? Maybe she's singing the songs in reverse with some hidden subliminal message!

Unfortunately what it shows is that anyone can go on the internet and create rumors and the media in some cases will pick up these stories and run with them which influence the consumer's perception.

Beyonce has sold over a 140 million records as an artist. Over half sold outside of America. 2500 responses for a petition on the internet (which really represents often the same people responding 2-3 times) go online with a petition regarding "DÃ©jÃ vu" and it's national news? Think about that for a minute. 140 million records sold versus 2500 responses about a video. Does that really equate to a major concern? The answer is No!

I couldn't be happier with where "DejaVu" is on the charts. It's a Top 10 song on Billboard 100 and #1n this week's R&B charts. Mid week numbers in the UK is trending at #1 for the "Deja Vu" single for this week. Records have broken in Japan regarding ringtone sales of "Deja Vu." It is one of the most ever streamed videos at Yahoo. "Ring The Alarm" was added to TRL on its first day of airing and it is on the R&B charts this week which gives Beyonce two singles on the charts at the same time.

Our plan is to have three singles on the charts together. For this album we have a unique strategy. Rather than concern ourselves with purely chart positioning we are focusing on the combine audiences who are listening and are aware of the singles on the album. That strategy is based on the combine belief of Beyonce, SonyBMG and Music World. This is unique, creative body of work on B-Day and every song is a potential single.

After all what do we know? Some weeklies reviewed "Independent Women" and gave it a "D-" and Beyonce's first album "Dangerously in Love," a "D".

And just for the record, Beyonce's success or failure for me is not based on the number of records she sells. For me it's based on how proud I am that she is a genuine good person (Ask anyone who's worked with her). That she always has a kind word for others. That she is respectful and honest. That she gives back to her community and that she has so much love for her family. That she has grown to be such a leader. And lastly, she has the confidence not to be bothered by these planned distractions.

"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," says Bass, referring to bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake. "I didn’t know: Could that be the end of ’N Sync? So I had that weight on me of like, ‘Wow, if I ever let anyone know, it's bad.' So I just never did," he says speaking about his sexual orientation for the first time with PEOPLE. Now, after years of keeping his personal life private, the Mississippi-bred, Southern Baptist-reared Bass, 27, is publicly revealing what he first shared with his friends, then his shocked family.

"He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone," says his close buddy Fatone, 29, who was the first 'N Sync bandmate to find out Bass is gay. "I back him up 100 percent." Adds Bass’s longtime pal, actress Christina Applegate: "I've always accepted him as who he is. It's about his own serenity at this point." Having pursued acting, producing and – most memorably – space flight after ’N Sync went on hiatus in 2002, Bass now is looking ahead to new beginnings. He is in a "very stable" relationship with model-actor-Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl, 32, and is developing an Odd Couple-inspired sitcom pilot with Fatone in which his character will be gay. This just in On TRL yesterday, they announced that "Tell Me", the track Christina did with Diddy, will be his second single.

OK for all you Making The Band Fans, We know that its been said that the "Tell Me" track that was in the final episode of last season was schedule to be on the new Danity Kane CD. Then i'm watching TRL and Diddy is talking about his next album and starts playing tracks. Well I couldn't have been more in aww as I start to hear the "Tell Me" beat and Diddy is rapping on it and a caption comes up and says "featuring Christina Aguielra" - Lyrics - Tell me, what cha thinking about, when you got me waiting patiently...... (I love this song and Christina sounds AMAZING on it)

Diddy's latest protégé Danity Kane have started shooting the video for their debut single "SHOW STOPPER", which will be directed by Jessy Terrero. The track is taken from their debut album "STREET BUTTERFLIEZ" and it includes productions from Rodney Jerkins (Beyonce, Spice Girls), Scott Storch (Paris Hilton, Brooke Hogan), Bryan Michael Cox (Brandy, Mariah Carey) and Timbaland (Nelly Furtado, Kelis). Apparently a famous last name only goes so far. Paris Hilton, the great-granddaughter of the Hilton hotel chain’s founder, says she gets no special discount at her namesake hotel chain. To prove it, Paris agreed to take part in a prank for a radio’s breakfast show while in Scotland. The heiress dialed the Glasgow Hilton to reserve a room, and after being offered a standard queen room for £170, she asked if she could have a discount. Reservations clerk Kevin told Paris, “There is no discount I can initiate, I am afraid.” The socialite’s powers of persuasion simply could not sway the clerk, who firmly insisted, “This is the cheapest rate I have available to me.” Welcome to The Simple Life, Paris!

Feud between Tori Spelling & her mom is on!!!

It’s a shame that this is coming out so soon after Aaron Spelling’s death.
The Spelling family tried to deny rumors of a family feud in the wake of patriarch AARON SPELLING'S death last week. But now that he's gone, IT'S ON between his widow, CANDY, and their daughter TORI.

Tori tells the new issue of "Us Weekly" that her mother didn't even call to tell her that Aaron had died. Instead, she got the news from a friend. . . via her BLACKBERRY. . . while she was out to eat in Toronto.

Tori says she and Aaron were cool. . . but things were not good between her and Candy. And it's not because she busted on Candy on her VH1 show, "So NoTORIous".

Tori actually INITIATED the feud. . . and she did it because her mom was carrying on some kind of relationship with a quote-unquote "longtime family friend" while Aaron's health was deteriorating.

Tori says, quote, "My mom's behavior simply made me uncomfortable to be around my family."

Candy, for her part, solidly denies having an affair with this "family friend".

Tori also reiterates that she and Aaron were on good terms when he died. She says she spoke to him just days before his death, and his last words to her were, quote, "I love you, babe."

"Harry Potter" author J.K. ROWLING revealed in a TV interview yesterday that two main characters will DIE in the upcoming seventh AND FINAL "Harry Potter" book.

Could one of those two characters be Harry himself??? She said, quote, "I can completely understand the mentality of an author who thinks, 'Well I'm gonna kill them off because that means there can be no non-author written sequels. So it will end with me and after I'm dead and gone they won't be able to bring back the character.'"

But when pressed for more details about Harry's fate, Rowling refused to give up anything more, saying, quote, "I don't want the hate mail, apart from anything else."
